Using the dropdown menu below, purchase your tickets for the 62nd NSMA Awards Weekend & National Convention, honoring Hall of Fame inductees Hubie Brown, Curry Kirkpatrick, Jackie MacMullan, and Stuart Scott; National winners Ernie Johnson, Scott Van Pelt, and Jeff Passan; 115 state Sportscasters and Sportswriters of the Year from 49 states plus DC; as well as more than a dozen other awards.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Saturday June 25th
Noon - Registration begins - Winston-Salem Marriott lobby (425 N. Cherry St.)
3:30- 5:30pm – Welcome Reception for award winners, presenters, their guests, local hosts, and other attendees. Hearn Ballroom Foyer, Winston-Salem Marriott, 425 N. Cherry St , 2nd Floor (Dress is Business casual)
6:30-9pm -- Welcome Dinner, followed by program, Hearn Ballroom
Sunday, June 26th
9:30am-1:30pm – Sports Media Convergence Summit I (seminars, panels, and critiques, targeted at young sports media professionals and students). *- This admission is separate from the other Awards Weekend events, and must be purchased separately. Hearn Ballroom
2-5pm – Sports Book Festival at Bookmarks, 634 West 4th St - #110. This is free and open to the public.
6:30-9pm - LEGACY NIGHT: the presentation of
the Roone Arledge Award for Innovation and NSMA’s new awards. Gallery at the Benton (Dress
is Business casual)
Monday, June 27th
8am - 4pm - Sports Media Convergence Summit II(seminars, panels, and critiques, targeted at young sports media professionals and college students) - Marriott, 425 N. Cherry St, Hearn Ballrooms, 2nd Floor - (Dress is Business casual). *-This admission is separate from the other Awards Weekend events, and must be purchased separately.
5-6:30 – 62nd NSMA Awards Reception - Benton Convention Center, 301 W. Fifth St. (Dress: Business/cocktail)
6:45-10:30pm - Dinner and 61st NSMA Awards
Banquet - Benton Convention Center, 301 W. Fifth St. (Dress is business attire for men; business
or cocktail attire for women).
Pricing is as follows:
Awards Weekend Package (entry to 6/25 Welcome Dinner, 6/26 Legacy Night, and 6/27 Awards Banquet) = $325
Welcome Dinner (6/25) only = $100
Legacy Night (6/26) only = $125
Awards Banquet (6/27) only = $150
Sports Media Convergence Summits I & II (6/26: 9:30am - 1:30pm & 6/27: 9am - 4pm) = $129 (Early-bird special before May 1; $149 after that)
