NSMA: What was your career path like on the way to your current position?

Steve Goldstein: Taking all opportunities that came my way. Mostly radio, before transitioning to mostly TV over time.

NSMA: What is your favorite thing about your job?

SG: Bringing information and levity to people and the feeling after a solid broadcast.

NSMA: What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

SG: Numerous hockey games such as the Panthers playoff games and calling the 2010 Winter Olympic hockey gold medal game.

NSMA: What is the best piece of advice you have for people pursuing a career in sports media?

SG: Never say no, even if a job opportunity is not exactly what you want to do. Have the right work ethic, which shouldn't be an issue since you love what you do and have passion for it. And relationships are important.
