Brennan, Rosenthal, Tirico Top 2024 NSMA Awards/2025 Hall of Fame Finalists

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (November 25, 2024) – Among more than 500 finalists for the 2024 NSMA Awards and 2025 Hall of Fame, three stand out as finalists for both the Hall and a national award.

In addition to being Hall of Fame finalists, USA Today columnist Christine Brennan and Ken Rosenthal are finalists for the 2024 National Sportswriter of the Year Award while NBC’s Mike Tirico is a finalist for the 2024 National Sportscaster of the Year Award.

Among the 528 state finalists, Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy (Massachusetts Sportswriter) is a Hall of Fame finalist, while FOX/Chicago Bull’s play-by-play announcer Adam Amin (Illinois Sportscaster) and CBS/Brooklyn Nets’ play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle (New York) are National Sportscaster of the Year finalists.

The final ballot will be emailed to NSMA members on December 1, with voting continuing through December 31.

Winners will be notified during the first week of January.

Awards are scheduled to be presented during the NSMA’s 65th Awards Weekend & National Convention, June 28-30, 2025, at Grandover Resort & Spa – a Wyndham Grand hotel – in Greensboro, N.C.
