Phil Rizzuto
Born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 25, 1917, before becoming a broadcaster played 13 seasons for the New York Yankees, won seven World Series, and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Rizzuto was released in the 1956 season and was immediately hired by the Yankees to work for their t.v. and radio booth. During his time in the booth, he became better known for developing his own style of broadcasting. Most famously known for his line "Holy Cow!" Rizzuto's most famous calls included Roger Maris' 61st home run in 1961, and he briefly returned for Derek Jeter's last hit in 1996. On July 31, 1994, Phil Rizzuto was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He was enshrined in the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Fame in 2006.
