7-Time PA Sportswriter of Year Ford Leaving Inquirer

Seven-time NSMA Pennsylvania Sportswriter of the Year Bob Ford announced on Twitter this morning his plans to leave the Philadelphia Inquirer.

"A little personal news. I think that's how everyone puts it. I'm leaving the Inquirer after 32 years. My choice, my timing. The paper has been home for a long time, though, and it's hard to leave home. I will miss it, but am ready to do other things, assuming there are some."

Ford leaves as the reigning (2019) Pennsylvania Sportswriter of the Year. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2019 state and national winners will be honored during the 2021 NSMA Awards Weekend, June 26-28, in Winston-Salem, NC.
