Braves Eddie Rosario Wins October 2021 Hickok Belt® Award

ROCHESTER, NY – Professional baseball star Eddie Rosario, Atlanta Braves left fielder, has been named the Hickok Belt® Award winner for the month of October 2021. Voting was conducted by a select panel of members of the National Sports Media Association (NSMA). The voters selected 30 year old baseball star Eddie Rosario on his unbelievable performance that assured the Atlanta Braves a 2021 World Series win, their first since 1999. His invaluable feats throughout the Series and playoffs included a game saving catch in Game 4 of the World Series robbing Houston Astros Jose Altuve of extra bases. Rosario won the NLCS MVP Award for his amazing performance, including two 4-hit games.

Other finalists for the month of October in order of how the NSMA ranked them included: Tom Brady (football), Derrick Henry (football), Tyson Fury (boxing), Ian Anderson (baseball), Alex Ovechkin (hockey), Frederik Andersen (hockey), Steph Curry (basketball), Kyle Larson (auto racing) and Mikaela Schiffrin (skiing).

His selection as the Hickok Belt® Award winner for the month of October 2021 recognizes Eddie Rosario as the “best of the best” in professional sports for the month and makes him the tenth candidate to receive the overall Hickok Belt® Award for 2021, joining Emma Raducanu, Athing Mu, Caleb Dressel, Shohei Ohtani, Phil Mickelson, Hideki Matsuyama, Luka Doncic, Naomi Osaka and Patrick Mahomes. Winners as selected by the NSMA will be announced each month throughout 2021.
