Job Summary/Description:

KSWO is looking for someone to lead the best sports coverage in Texoma. Our coverage spans from high schools across several counties in Oklahoma to some college football.

The ideal candidate must have knowledge and passion for sports, including but not limited to, football, basketball, track, wrestling, and baseball. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude and an engaging on-air personality. Reporting, anchoring or previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Anchor sports segments in 6pm & 10pm newscasts.
- Mentor upcoming Sports MMJs
- Deliver scripted and ad lib material across multiple platforms with professionalism and personality
- Plan sports stories and special projects and coordinate with management
- Develop sources who provide tips to help us break important stories
- Demonstrates exceptional time-management skills
- Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards
- Appears on behalf of the station at public events

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Must be well-versed in the rules and terminology used in high school football, baseball, softball, basketball, wrestling and track and volleyball
- Must have a passion for sports
