Meet the 2020 Award Winners: Justin Williams

2020 Ohio Sportswriter of the Year talked to NSMA intern Sahil Dhawan recently. Here's part of their conversation:

Sahil Dhawan: What was your career path like on your way to your current position? Did you always know you wanted to go into sports media?

Justin Williams: I definitely knew that I wanted to go into journalism, I actually started a magazine in journalism. I went to Ohio University for college and studied journalism. When I got there that's when I knew journalism is what I wanted to do. Right out of college I worked for Cleveland Magazine - the standard city regional magazine. I then went back to Cincinnati Magazine which is where I had worked for the next five years. There I got to write, I got to edit, I got to write about a ton of different topics. It really was a great opportunity to get my hands on a ton of different areas.
