Spencer Tomsett's final story from U-20 World Cup in Chile

Chile 2025 is now a wrap as I prepare to fly back to the USA tonight!

For this final week, we had more rest in-between rounds, including a visit to the beach at Viña Del Mar!

For the final, ChileVisión’s producer allowed me and some colleagues to go behind the scenes of their main broadcast booth and production truck, which had a ton of similarities to the broadcasts I’ve shadowed and been a broadcaster for!

We also had the incredible opportunity to briefly meet FIFA President Gianni Infantino at halftime for a photo, and our colleague from Morocco was over the moon with their 2-0 victory over Argentina!

On a personal note, this experience has been tremendous and it would not have been possible without the trust Dave Goren (NSMA) and Martin Mazur (AIPS) have in me.

I am forever thankful for the relationships I built on this trip, experiencing South America for the first time, and gaining valuable experience as I progress in my career. As Dave always says, it’s not what you know or who you know, it’s who knows you!
