Wylly Willmott is a rising junior -- "third-year" as they call it there -- at the University of Virginia and in her first summer as an NSMA intern. She lives in Memphis, Tennessee, but grew up in Oregon, where she developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors, football, and days when it doesn’t rain. At UVA she plays defense for the women’s lacrosse team and writes for the Jefferson Independent student newspaper. When she is not writing, painting, or playing backyard variations of sports with her two brothers, you can find her cheering on the Cavaliers, Ducks, Rebels, and Chiefs, the latter of which to the dismay of all those around her. Wylly is also a die-hard Trail Blazers fan, and her claim to fame is being pen pals in elementary school with longtime head coach, Terry Stotts.
