NSMA Hall of Famer Deford Dies
Condolences to the family of NSMA Hall of Famer Frank Deford, who died on Sunday in Key West, according to his wife.
Deford was a six-time NSMA National Sportswriter of the Year and was elected to the NSMA Hall of Fame in 1998.
A longtime Sports Illustrated writer, Deford also authored several books, and was a commentator for 37 years on National Public Radio, from which he recently retired.
Deford was 78 years old.
